A place to return to.

Pros: The hosts, Frank and Eva and their family; the breakfasts, particularly Eva's legendary omelets; the ever changing panoramic view over the mountains and Pedi bay; the vibe of the village and the beauty of Symi harbour, the laid back friendliness of the Locals. Our second stay at Taxiarchis and it didnt disappoint.

Cons: Location and Symi in general is not for everyone. Steep hills, generally hot, very quiet BUT it's perfect for us. A truly authentic Greek experience

Lovely family run hotel

Pros: Very friendly family run hotel. Beautiful view down the valley. Excellent breakfast. Frank drove us down to the port which was a great help. Some really nice authentic restaurants and bars on the top of the hill. Room spacious and well appointed with balcony. Recommended!

Gorgeous views and perfect hosts

Pros: Frank and his wife are the best hosts, kind, funny. Views from this quiet corner of Horio are spectacular. It's peaceful, yes it's a strenuous walk up or down the 385 steps but apparently there's a bus if you need it. Our apartment was spotless, spacious with a dreamy terrace to enjoy a sundowner or a nightcap. Breakfast could feed an army! Fruit, eggs, everything you could want

Cons: The mattress was a little thin but nothing drastic.

Delightful hosts and beautiful view

Pros: The welcome by Frank and Eva was so very warm. Collected by Frank from the port, it’s a long way to walk….. Breakfast made by Eva very good, buffet style with home made goodies and bacon/cheese omelette. A good 15 minute walk down to Pedi beach where you can get the 14 euro return water taxi to lovely beaches. Also near to highly rated restaurants, Secret Garden and Zoe. All the staff at these apartments were friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here when we return to Symi.

Cons: WiFi not the quickest but we managed.

Pros: Wet very clean. We had a lovely view from a large terrace. Breakfast was excellent- probably the best in the island

Everything people say about this accommodation is true!

Pros: I loved its relaxed, chilled atmosphere. Great views down to Pedi bay. This family run place is greatly situated bang between the harbour area and Pedi beach. Don’t be put off by the fact that it is apparently not near the hassle and bustle of the harbour. You can easily get to it on foot which is well worth it! - yes a good walk down the 100s of steps - or using the bus service which is reliable and with the nearest stop very near by. The bus can take you to the harbour or to Pedi beach. Many boat services to take you to other beaches. The best however, is the service provided by the charming ‘Frank’ who runs up and down to and from the harbour collecting and dropping off guests, together with his lovely granddaughter Francesca, wife Eva providing the yummy breakfasts daily and other members of the family making your stay comfortable and happy. A great stay and thank you for making it so! If back in Symi would bot doubt about staying there again.

Cons: Can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

What a holiday!

Pros: Superb from being collected from the ferry to being dropped off again 6 days later. Fabulous, quiet location but easy walk to local tavernas and supermarket. The climb up to the village from the town or the beach was fun but the yellow bus made it easier on lazy days. Room was superb and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Stunning sunrises over the bay. I hope to be back one day.

Lovely stay

Pros: The most amazing stay for a long time! We were picked up from the ferry and also dropped off to the ferry when leaving. You’ll drive up to the location, get some tips how to walk there if one wants, or you can take local bus 2.50€ (cash) that goes every full hour from harbour up to the hotel and further to the beach. If you want to walk, prepare to around 300 steps. But when you reach the destination, you’re welcomed by this gorgeous view down the the bay. The room was renovated, fresh paint, cups, plates, kettle, ac if one wanted to use those. You’ll start your day with fresh breakfast that is comparable to any fancy hotel. And the view.. The owner family is very polite and friendly. We got tips about boat tour around the island which can be recommended. I would stay 3, preferably 4, nights to have time to experience all. There are kiosks nearby for late night shopping!

Cons: Shower. The bathroom is beautifully renovated with tiles, is large in size but shower is tiny and it has showercurtain instead of showercabinenett or walls. And because shower is tiny, one can’t avoid touching shower curtains.

We were hosted by a perfect family ın Symi

Pros: Everything.. Eva&Francesca and other family members are perfect people. The apartment and breakfast were the best we had ever..Thanks to Franceska we could reach the apartment easily and did not miss the ferry. We never forget Symi because of this lovely family and their hospitalibity.

Perfect vacation spot

Pros: Lovely place, wonderful owners and a perfect location. Could not ask for more. Our cottage had a magnificent view of the bay, the entire place is immaculately clean and nicely decorated.
