Perfect Scenic view of Symi, stay at Captain Suites

Pros: The location of the property overlooking the harbour, we spoilt ourselves by booking the top floor balcony suite as it was our last place to say after our fantastic 3 week trip around the lovely Dodecanese islands. We were met by the owner & his son who offered us a free drink and assistance with our bags up the tall spiral staircase to access the room with panoramic balcony. The owner also offered to take us to the ferry the day we left for a trip back to Rhodes. We got the bus to Pedi beach, sunbeds and waiter service with clear blue warm sea, great experience.

Cons: just to be aware for those not able to climb a spiral staircase if you book the balcony suite, it did work for us.

A great stay in a lovely apartment on a beautiful island.

Pros: Wonderful location on the water front with a great view of the town. Yannis, the owner was very friendly and informative. The cleaner was friendly and kept the apartment very clean. His son Fotis who ran the cafe downstairs was also very helpful when Yannis wasn't around. Would definitely stay there again

Cons: Nothing really - you need to be a bit careful of the low beam over the bed (it's a very old and beautiful) building. There are a number of steps to the apartment which you need to be aware of if you have limited mobility (this is doubtless true of all apartments at the bottom level of the town.

Pros: The view was amazing looking onto the harbour The bed was very comfy and clean and the staff were very friendly.

Cons: A bit loud from local bars

Pros: Superb accommodation. We had the top floor apartment with its own huge private roof terrace, giving both sunshine and shade all day. Typical greek room with a kitchen area and a nice bathroom. Cleaned every day. Right by the harbour, so lots to watch from on high. Ground floor cafe/restaurant served tasty greek food too.

Location, Location, Location.

Pros: Excellent location, we had split level apartment (resembles a boat with its ladder/stairs). The private balcony was awesome we could sit back and watch the harbour action. The host Yiannis was exceptional, very informative and provided pick up and drop off to the ferry. Big thank you again and we will be back one day.

Cons: People like to party to early hours in the harbour however when windows closed and aircon on it didnt worry us.

Pros: Top located. The suite has two floors and it‘s really cute. We would go back right away. It‘s super clean.

Cons: The matress could be morr comfortable.

Lovely stay in beautiful Symi

Pros: The location was perfect - easy walk to all the restaurants with a beautiful view of the port. Mr Yianni was a great host who picked us up from the port late at night and gave us a good run down of the island.

Cons: The property was a bit dated and due to its location was noisy at night time

Pros: We booked Captains suites at the last mintue for a 2 night stay in high season and were pleasantly suprised. An excellent mix of traditional island accommodation along with comfort features such as great beds, efficent air-conditioning and fantastic water pressure for showering. Yiannis (the owner) assisted with any requests we had including meeting and dropping us off at our boat when arriving/departing. The location right on the symi port waterfront amongst restaurants and coffee shops sealed our rating.

Great hotel in a great location

Pros: What a magnificent location. Close to everything and overlooking the harbour . Very comfortable beds and good value for money.

Cons: I couldn’t close the toilet door. I’m sure that can be fixed

Perfect location near the port

Pros: Captain's suites is ideally located to roam the port in Symi Town. It is only 200m from where the ferry dropped us off and there are plenty of bars ans restaurants to visit nearby. As for the room itself - perfect. The terrace was large with comfortable seating and the views were wonderful. The stairs are a bit steep but after a bit of practise and as long as you are careful, you will be fine.
