A really magical stay in Yialos in a classic but very comfortable apartment with breathtaking views.
Pros: We loved this apartment. Fantastic location right in the heart of Yialos, a beautifully furnished and very comfortable apartment. The owners have really thought of the details and taken great care to make their guests feel truly welcomed and comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh whilst retaining the classic Greek/Symi style, delicious drinks and snacks awaited us on arrival, and water and new toys to entertain our youngest were thoughtfully dropped off mid stay. Nikos, who manages the property, was attentive and helpful. We’d been to Symi before so the island has a special place in our hearts but this was a really magical stay.
Cons: Really, there was nothing we disliked at all. The harbour is very lively into the evening, so if you require total peace and quiet a midsummer stay may not suit you- but this would be true of anywhere in Yialos at this time of year and we all (including three children) slept very well regardless (after all the fresh air, beaches and climbing the many steps of Symi).

An unforgettable stay in Symi
Pros: We were lucky enough to be the first guests to stay at this beautiful summer house and it completely exceeded our expectations. The view is simply incredible — the kind that makes you stop and stare every time you walk out on the terrace. The house itself is stylish clean and very comfortable. Everything felt brand new but still had the charm of a traditional Symi home. It was the perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of the island. What really made the experience special though was the hospitality. Nikos was amazing. Friendly warm and always available if we needed anything. He made us feel completely at home. Stamatis the owner was just as kind and welcoming and it’s clear he’s put a lot of heart into this place. We’ve stayed in many places around Greece but this one stands out. A true hidden gem that we’ll definitely return to.

I’m 62 and I was a bit intimidated by the over 80 steps with a 6 to 8 inch height. It was fine and I got used to it, but
Pros: It was a beautiful view, and it was in great shape
Cons: The steps were a bit scary and it was noisy at night
