Maria is the ultimate host, friendly and responsive and helpful with picking up and luggage. Highly recommend.

Pros: As described, a pretty, beautifully furnished tiny home complete with everything you could want, from a balcony with stunning views to a fridge filled with wine, water, snacks and fruit.

Pros: Maria is the perfect host. I had an amazing stay and recommend anyone to stay here. I was given fresh fruit, wine, snacks, beer ..... Will definitely be back 👍💖

Lovely well equipped apartment

Pros: Having just stayed at the 89 Steps I can see why it has so many brilliant reviews. Maria met us at the ferry and we were driven to the apartment, and then she ran us through what we needed to know, and gave us a few ideas of things to see and do. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you are likely to need during your stay, including snacks, bottle of wine, fruit and some water. We loved the view from the balcony, it made the 89 steps worth it to look over the bay, even with my wife’s asthma she had no problem with the steps. During our stay Maria messaged to check everything was ok, and even arranged our transfer back to the ferry. We were really pleased we chose 89 steps, it certainly didn’t disappoint 🙂

Pros: This apartment is beautiful and the view from the balcony is spectacular! The host is really lovely and so helpful. She also has the apartment really well kitted out - she has thought of everything. We loved Symi and this apartment so much that we decided to extend our stay on the island, the only unfortunate thing was this apartment was already booked by somebody else so we moved elsewhere for our extra days.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!

Pros: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect. The size and amenities are perfect especially the great balcony, AC, washing machine and kitchen. I appreciated the pickup from the big ferry terminal too as it helps with bags and it is lovely to meet Maria. She is very friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. I’d say the apartment is perfect for a solo traveller, a couple or couple with a young child.

Cons: Nothing except to note that the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom may not be enjoyed by all. Note that the steps to the apartment are fine.

Amazing place in amazing town!

Pros: Everything about our stay at 89 steps was exceptional! Maria the host is just amazing. Picked us up from the ferry terminal, showed us all around the apartment and offered assistance whenever we needed it. The apartment is stocked with everything! Fridge has wine, beer, water, soft drinks, milk, fruit, etc. There are biscuits, tea, coffee and the bathroom had absolutely everything, Sun cream, moisturisers, shaving cream the list goes on. First aid kit, sewing kit, beach bag, beach towels.. Maria has thought of everything. The apartment is a good size with fantastic balcony and views. Close to beach which is beautiful and clean. There are a lot of stairs to the property (89!) so good workout! Symi is the most gorgeous place to visit and this is a fantastic place to stay in a great location, close to everything. I would definitely stay here again. We had 6 nights here and could have stayed more. Thank you Maria, we miss it already!

Bright, comfortable studio with a breathtaking view in the heart of Symi

Pros: I want to thank Maria for making my holidays in Symi truly special. 89 Steps is in the perfect location — right in the port, with restaurants and a supermarket just downstairs, and only a 10-minute walk to the beach. The studio offers a beautiful view over the port, with a balcony where you can comfortably sit and enjoy it. It is clean, nicely decorated, and equipped with everything you might need — from beach towels and a bag, to a bathroom stocked with all possible amenities, and a fridge filled with fruit, water, a bottle of wine, and some snacks. There’s even a special mixer to make a frappe! Maria was very attentive and helpful. She kindly allowed me to check out late and even arranged a pick-up to take me to the ferry. I had a truly pleasant and memorable stay.

Brilliant

Pros: Maria made us feel so welcome we were looking forward to the stay before we had even arrived. The apartment is in an excellent location and everything Maria included right down to toiletries and snacks was extremely thoughtful. We had a minor issue with our stay that she sorted quickly and easily. She helped us with our transport which was so great. Her recommendation of around the island boat trip was one of our best days. We really hope to come back and thank Maria for her hospitality. We enjoyed Symi and 89 steps thoroughly .

Wonderful apartment and amazing hosts!

Pros: Had a fantastic stay at 89 Steps for a few days in the second half of September 2024. Maria and her family were very kind and amazing hosts. They went out of their way to make me feel at home. Thank you for everything! The apartment was very clean, cosy and had absolutely everything a traveller may need to spend a nice vacation. I would stay there again. 🙂

Fantastic

Pros: The host was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The apartment had absolutely you could want and we absolutely loved our stay.

Cons: If you have any mobility issues it may prove difficult.
