Elia Suites - Old Town

Great location for a short stay

Pros: The private terrace in suite 5 which gets morning sun and is not overlooked. The suite was very clean and well appointed.

Cons: There was some worrying feedback on booking.com about it being difficult to find. Suite 5 is on Simonodou, one of the lovely ancient stone walled alleyways. Suite 6 is below it. The other apartments appear to be accessed on the opposite side of the alley. The owner answered our call straight away and explained how to find the key. He never came to meet us but it wasn’t necessary. However the worry about finding it and lack of clarity over exactly which “suite” is which in the photos was a slight shame. Could easily be fixed by labelling the location and pics clearly on the website. Also I’m sure the description included a washing machine and dishwasher but there were neither in suite 5.

Lovely town centre stay!

Pros: We stayed in Suite 7 for 4 nights and had a fabulous time. The apartment was 2 floors, including a large bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The location was great - 1 minute to the supermarket and the centre of the old town - including loads of restaurants, cafes and shops. It’s a 20 minute nice walk along the marina to the beach too. Only faults are that suite 7 doesn’t have a balcony/any outdoor space which we would have liked. The view out of the windows is also onto a car park full of bins - but this wasn’t a major issue for us! Geri the host was very attentive and answered any of our questions quickly - he also met us at the local supermarket on arrival. Thanks for a great stay!

Pros: We were extremely satisfied with our stay. The property offers an excellent location, the room was maintained and cleaned on a daily basis, and the host was exceptional – very attentive, responsive, and even arranged airport pick-up for us. Our experience could not have been better.

A fabulous place to stay in the Old Town.

Pros: I loved my room on the roof with the private terrace. Just what I wanted. The whole building has a nice feel about it. The simple clean white decor and wooden furnishings are very appealing and it’s all fairly new. The bed and sun loungers were very comfortable and the towels and bed linen good quality. It was good to have the fridge and coffee machine and the welcome beer, water and coffee capsules are a nice touch I didn’t expect the room to be serviced every day but it was done very well by a very nice charming lady. It was like hotel service. The location is perfect and I found it easily enough. Near to a good small supermarket and a bakery and the Main Street yet quiet and secluded up alleyways out of the way. All in all it’s a fabulous place. Much better than a hotel in my opinion.

Cons: The WiFi is not very strong. The owner has the best available but it was a little slow at times. The 5G in Rhodes is better than London so it’s not an issue and I relied on that instead.

Pros: Talk about the perfect Old Town Rhodes experience! We were in unit 5 with the two stories and private terrace. It was magical! The instructions we were given in advance were perfect. We were dropped off at the Kolona Gate outside the Old Town and it was an easy 10 minute walk to the suites following Google maps. We contacted Mr. Geri when we landed at the airport and there was someone there when we arrived to bring us to our room. The ease of being in the heart of Old Town Rhodes and being able to walk to restaurants, shops and markets was perfect. Especially loved being tucked away a little away from all the noise and having the retreat to the terrace to unwind between outings. If we ever return to Rhodes again we will definitely be booking Elia Suites.

Pros: Best location for someone who wants to be in.the heart of old town Rhodes! Brand new, very pretty and clean apartment! Very helpful and friendly staff! Walking distance to the castle, best restaurants, bars and shops! We loved it!!
