Secret Garden - Old Town

Great stay in a quiet part of the old city.

Pros: Excellent location 2 minutes walk from the centre of Rhodes old town. Supermarket just round the corner. Lovely outdoor spaces to sit and read. When you arrive at the old town by car or taxi, it is difficult to pull heavy suitcases across the cobbles of the old town to the apartment. If you contact the apartment owner, they can arrange for a free of charge buggy service to collect you and take you to the square behind the apartment and also arrange a buggy for when you leave.

Cons: Kitchen could do with an update. No plug for the sink and no dishwasher. Lack of plugs for charging phones etc.

Pros: Beautiful cosy apartment right in the centre of the old town, in a quiet area, 2 wonderful authentic restaurants (Yiannis & Meli,) amazing little coffee shop (Bible Coffee) and a supermarket all within a couple of minutes walk. Host gave clear instructions to find and access the apartment.

Perfect place to stay with the best host in the heart of the Old Town!

Pros: The location of the apartment was lovely, quiet and easy to find, super accessible to the rest of the old town and the surrounding city, we enjoyed the calm surroundings of the beautiful garden from our balcony. Great kitchen and bathroom facilities, the air conditioning was excellent. Super clean and beautiful interior design and our amazing host invited us to a few music events that we would not have found on our own, incredibly hospitable and was always making sure we had all we needed but the place was perfect! The cafes/ restaurants and shops were super close by and the locals in the area are very nice and we were kept company with all the beautiful cats around the area! Couldn’t recommend this place more it’s well hidden gem in the heart of the old town!

Beautiful fold town and Secret Garden is located within a few minutes walk if everything

Pros: Location wonderful.Facilities good and excellent value for money.

Dimitra was a superb host from the moment we arrived. The house was delightful and so close to all the Old Town action.

Pros: So much charm and character. We felt fully immersed in the Old Town experience!

A little home from home in the heart of Rhodes Old Town.

Pros: Our accomodation at Secret Garden Apartments was excellent. A hidden oasis, near the centre of Old Rhodes. We only used the kitchen area for coffee and a quick breakfast, but it was useful to have. The shower room was pretty and the shower good. In the lounge area there were 2 day bed, which we only used as sofas and upstairs we had a lovely little bedroom. The decor was simple and suited the old building. We used the outside seating area every evening. Once we got our bearings navigating the old town was easy from Secret Garden although we were also still exploring new alleys throughout our stay. There's a little supermarket and a couple of good tavernera nearby. We loved it!

Cons: No complaints at all, just an observation that the staircase is metal and steep and possibly daunting if you don't have a head for heights.

Very Secret Garden

Pros: We liked the location in the Old Town. We liked the private outdoor space, the furnishings in the apartment and that it was cool and quiet. Communication with owner/contact was great.

Cons: A sign outside to identify the apartment as we found it difficult to find. Some of the fittings need updating or repair particularly in the bathroom. We would have liked a safe for our valuables/passports etc.

Pros: Fantastic location. 5 minutes to all our favourite restaurants and bars. Was like staying in a museum very quirky.Dimitra was excellent and very helpful.

Cons: Stair to bedroom very steep. Bathroom located downstairs. Some lights and power points not working (did report). Couldn't get the external stair lights to work (had good torch). Garden looked a bit more tired than the pics represent. None of this detracted from us having a great time!

Just wonderful, we will definitely return!

Pros: Amazing old spacious property which retained original features like the arched ceiling in the bedroom - just wonderful! We loved the private garden courtyard with orange and lemon trees and the cats made us very welcome. Superb location, close to everything.

Cons: There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. However as we aren’t as agile as we used to be, we found stepping out of the shower onto the wet tiled floor a bit dodgy as space was tight and there was nothing to hold onto. Also the bed was a bit low for us, but we coped! The only other issue was a strong smell of cigarettes coming under the door from the adjoining apartment which was not the owners fault. We stuffed a towel into the gap which helped.

Pros: Great host - Dimitra helped as so much, when we got sick during our stay... she is a lovely lady with a big heart for animals...! Apartement is central, nice garden, great kitchen...!
