A fabulous quirky Greek house but maybe not suitable for everyone.
Pros: Cute traditional Greek house - quirky and fun. Anna who met us with the keys was lovely. Well equipped kitchen etc. Some aircon. Near to a supermarket, restaurants and the harbour - easy to get water taxis to beaches. Lovely sunny balcony terrace and great little shaded garden. I would highly recommend this house for the right people.
Cons: This house is lovely but probably not for everyone. I would not recommend for older people, small children or anyone with a mobility issue. To get to the house involves lots of steep steps - difficult with luggage - would be hard with small children/pushchairs etc. The different floors in the house itself are accessed via very steep wooden staircases that go through trapdoors - impossible to get luggage up there and dangerous for little children. Sleeping areas are not head height and it is impossible to use the clothes storage. Shower tiny and a challenge to use but possible. Do your homework on ferries from Rhodes - the big ferry port is a fair walk from the house with luggage in hot weather. Some boats stop at the harbour itself right near the house.

A superb location and base, to make the most of Symi.
Pros: The location was excellent, close to amenities, tavernas, a good supermarket very close by, and it was on the right side of town to be able to walk to Emborio beach a couple of times. We stayed for a week and it was good to have more outside space than was clearly available to most other places in Symi. The washing machine was very good to have. The lovely Anna who looks after the property was welcoming and friendly.
Cons: We found the mezzanine sleeping areas to be more cramped and impractical than expected from the photos. Headroom was limited and things like light switches and fans were at the far end of the bed. The only spaces to put clothes were a nuisance to access so we didn’t bother and used the settees in the upper sitting room as a wardrobe; others have mentioned the same. There were only two of us but this would have been a real nuisance for any more people than this. It is not a property for people with difficulty with steep and narrow stairs. Everything in the bathroom worked fine, plenty of hot water etc but the shower really is tiny and it probably is time for things to be updated and also, there does seem to be space there for the room to be reconfigured to enable a bigger showering area.

Quirky and beautiful property
Pros: This is a quirky, very traditional Symi house. The ground floor is a dining/living/ kitchen with air con. Also a bathroom. Be mindful that the shower is very small. Up some steep narrow wooden stairs is a mezzanine area with a floor bed which is very comfortable. Just watch your head on the low ceiling. Up more narrow stairs through trapdoor to a living room with a small terrace and beautiful views across Symi town and the sea. Up more stairs to another bedroom. The air con in these rooms is fans which are effective enough but no way as good as full air con. There is also a sheltered outdoor area on the ground floor. There is a supermarket nearby and plentiful bars and restaurants. It is quite a climb to the apartment itself so if like us you have a lot of luggage it is quite a feat of strength to get up there. If you have mobility issues this is probably not the place for you.
Cons: Shower very small and probably needs a new shower head as water sprayed out in every direction. Air con in the upper rooms would make it perfect 10+++

Beautiful Symi, a gem of the Dodecanese!
Pros: To start off, Anna was a gem - what a beautiful lady. So kind & welcoming. There was plenty of room for the whole family - the loft style bedrooms were an absolute hit with the kids! The place was lovely & clean. Very comfortable with air conditioning/fans & a washing machine! A great time had by all, thank you!
Cons: The shower is very, very small. If you’re a bigger person (very tall & solid or just solid), you may have great difficulty attempting to shower. We were all ok, but it could be very difficult for others. The steps to get to the actual property may be very difficult for older people, people with prams & definitely wouldn’t be suitable for someone with physical disabilities. There were a great number of very large/uneven sized steps (possibly around 30?). It was very difficult carrying our heavy luggage up the steps; but once we got there, it was so worth it! Most properties in Symi have a ridiculous amount of steps to get to them. If steps aren’t your thing, try & find a ground level property? I think the houses are unique too; in that they are built narrow & have multiple sets of narrow, internal stairs to get to different floors, to maximise space.

Lovely stay in a traditional house
Pros: This is a traditional house with simple but elegant furniture. Both the path and the terrace are charming and peaceful. In the main floor there’s a wonderful sea view. The house is close to the port but very quiet.
Cons: Good to know that there are a lot of stairs both outside and inside this lovely home.

A charming authentic house in Symi port
Pros: A beautiful authentic house in the port with terrace. House is in a fantastic location a minute away from shops, bars and restaurants and yet totally peaceful. That minute's walk is however up a number of steep flights of steps so this property is not for anyone with mobility issues. The bedrooms are on mezzanines reached by ladders. Our family (with teenagers )loved it but I don't think it would work with young children.
Cons: The beautiful terrace is a real sunspot. It has a partial shade but would benefit from an additional umbrella in the day

Pros: Dejligt sted af bo med gård, stuer og altan. God beliggenhed. Ikke perfekt men fint udsyn til havn og huse.
Cons: MEN der er tre problemer. Vandpumpen giver høj støj hver gang du rører vandhanen. Ventilator i toilet støjer irriterende for meget.
