Pros: Everything-- Jenine was a perfect hostess-- giving us information, making an exquisite breakfast, providing recommendaitons for dinner. Excellent all around. Great location, beautiful and serene

Cons: We got strande in Rhodes due to an airplane issue and missed the only ferry to Symi left that day. We were forced to stay in Rhodes a night (not horrible have to admit, loved Rhodes), but we were unable to get a refund from you due to the no refund policy (I didn't even ask to be honest, but I assume that we wouldn't be able to get our money back. Would've been nice to have a more flexible booking/cancellation policy. That said, Jenine offered us an extra night-- but we couldn't stay.

Exactly as I had hoped it would be...

Pros: The overall ambience of the Anchor House is such that you can enjoy feeling at home, away from home. Even if, like me, you are a solo traveller, excellent host Jenine actively encourages guests to become acquainted, easy to maintain as there is a shared open plan sitting room and kitchen, which guests can access at any time. My room overlooked the sea, waves from which I heard as if listening to a lullaby. On my first night I slept for 11 hours!!!! Every aspect of my visit was just as I hoped it would be - sad to leave today... The property is 15-20 mins harbourside stroll to the main port area so you are in a quiet area though with everything in easy reach. There are quiet spots to sit, roof terrace to enjoy the panorama - this is a special spot 🥰

Cons: (already discussed with Jenine) Even though I appreciate the tasteful aesthetics here, having no mirror in the room (except in low light at the bathroom sink) may lead to general personal appearance faux pas! Also, no small table for general use in the room (there is a desk which I used for my laptop) meant that I relied on the fold up chair which I brought in from just outside of the room for bags, etc. Basic adjustments could be made here for maximum impact and even more comfort. An extension plug socket lead could be offered in addition to a leaflet in the room with a few useful pointers regarding staying at the property e.g. info on water taxis, solar panels heat the water, using the kitchen/fridge storage, guidance on what to do in an emergency/fire/unexpected incident (though a message was received on arrival to my phone with useful phone numbers).

Pros: Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist perfekt, ruhig gelegen und direkt oberhalb eines kleinen Strands. Der Ausblick vom Zimmer direkt auf das Meer ist traumhaft, die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll. Jenine ist eine so herzliche Gastgeberin, hat tolle Tipps und macht perfektes Frühstück. Die Atmosphäre ist herrlich familiär und zum Wohlfühlen. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Genau wie erwartet - Top

Pros: Alles war Top. Wunderschönes Haus und Jenine macht es unglaublich gut.
