Roulas Apartments

Small studio with an amazing terrace and views.

Pros: Staying here is all about the location, the outdoor terrace (shared with 2 other studios but you have your own table & chairs) and the amazing view of the sea and harbour. It is just wonderful. Short walk from the harbour, where all the bars, restaurants and supermarkets are located. There is an electrically operated awning - brilliant! You can walk about 50m down to the sea from the studios to a small terrace with a ladder, and swim in the sea. Heaven! Air con! Well equipped with cutlery, dishes, mugs, pans etc.

Cons: Its not that I didn't like these, but things to be aware of: - Big steep steps up to the studio terrace from the path below. - I stayed in the smaller of the 3 studios. It doesn't really have any storage for your stuff. But you find a way. - the facilities are all there - kettle, 2 ring hob, small fridge - but because the space is so limited it is a bit awkward to use - the mattress is up a steep narrow staircase. I always came down backwards, holding the rail - like on a ship It is what it is inside. It's all about the location and views, which are just amazing.

Pros: Wow! What a place, I really enjoyed my stay at Roulas apartments. The space had everything you needed, and most importantly the view of the harbour. I’ll never forgot my last morning, watching the sunrise here. See you again! ευχαριστώ πολύ 🙏

Fabulous stay and can't wait to go back

Pros: Have just spent a lovely 2 weeks at Roulas Apartments. Over the years we have stayed in all of the rooms. They are all of a good standard nothing fancy but clean and everything you need is there. The apartments are an easy walk from the harbour with only a few steps near the church and then a couple to get up to the apartment. Manolis the owner is really helpful anything you need or any queries you have you just have to send him a message and he'll sort it for you. The reason we keep going back is for the view - it's amazing and we can't wait to go back again

I would definitely revisit for longer

Pros: - The location...close to the center yet quiet - The balcony was the best place to enjoy one's evenings - The mattress was sooo comfortable - The management always available and willing to help with anything possible - Super clean

Cons: The bathtub could have been larger, and I could use some bath products (shampoo, etc). Of course, I was prepared as the info of the room provisions did not include that, yet it would be nice. My room was the smallest from the rooms. However, I was alone, so it didn't cause any inconvenience.

Room For Small Improvements

Pros: Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Roulas Apartments. I certainly couldn't complain about the bed, it was very comfortable, if only a mattress on the mezzanine floor. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water, only the cubicle was very small and had one of those dreaded curtains. The aircon worked well.The location was superb, quiet neighborhood, close to everything, and an amazing view from the shared terrace, although, throughout my 6 night stay, I was the only guest in Room 1. Rooms 2 and 3 remained unoccupied.

Cons: By paying attention to small details, I believe Roulas Apartments could score higher. In no particular order, 1) Check-in Instructions state expect them to reach out to you a week before your arrival. I had to request instructions the day prior to check-in. 2) I think new photos on Booking.com would be great, especially to show the now installed electric operated awnings over the terrace. 3) When I arrived, there were only 5 pegs on the clothesline. I asked for more, and eventually, someone brought another 5 pegs. More pegs would be helpful. 4) A spare roll of toll paper can come in handy.There was only one roll, and I ran out. 5) After 3 nights with 3 to go, I messaged, saying fresh towels would be appreciated and removal of rubbish. Towels were dropped off. I was told to take the rubbish out and leave it down by the stairs. This I did Saturday evening. It was still there in the hot sun when I checked out Tuesday morning. If you are aware of the no toilet paper to be thrown into the toilet bowl in Greece, then you probably don't want to think too much about this. Furthermore, there was no replacement plastic rubbish sack for the bin provided, nor a bin liner for the bathroom can. 6) Probably the most important point I have to make is about the cleaning service. I was told they do not have a specific policy because they are short-term rental accommodation (Airbnb), not a hotel. I believe they need to implement a policy with regard to the cleaning service.

Pros: We really enjoyed roulas apartment! maybe some pieces of furniture are not the newest but for us it was the best place we stayed in halki (we stayed in other much more expensive places and they were not better at all conpared to roulas). It is a nice traditional house, very clean, fully equipped, big new fridge and a beautiful and spacious terrace with an amazing view. The apartment is in a central but very quiet location. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, when we had a question or a problem they were always answering and finding a solution straight away. Thanks!!

Pros: Overall, I am highly satisfied with the cleanliness, location, view, amenities, customer service, and prompt response time. Firstly, I must commend the hotel for providing an impeccably clean room. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a tidy space, making my stay comfortable and pleasant. The view of the room was simply outstanding. Also, the room’s strategic location made it easy to access nearby attractions and amenities. Last but not least, The owner has been professional, polite, and always willing to assist. They promptly responded to my queries and ensured my needs were met. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly enhanced my stay and made me feel valued as a customer.

Cons: The presence of stairs to reach the room might pose some inconvenience for guests with mobility issues. Although it did not hinder my own experience, it may be something to consider. Additionally, there were stairs leading to the bedroom within the room itself, which may be a concern for guests with young children or those who prefer to avoid stairs altogether.

Pros: Really nice view, close to center but quiet, small but very cosy!! Really helpful staff!!
