Port in a storm.
Pros: Having stayed here before we had prior knowledge of what to expect. Close to town. Decent size. Pretty cozy. Balcony a decent size. Lovely owner, Michelle and family. And addition of a luggage lift. And good facilities for self-catering. So all good.
Cons: Nothing really not to like. Recommended.

Excellent, but...
Pros: Its a family run hotel. The hospitality of the father and his daughter was excellent. They provided everything I asked for. Basic hotel with all basic amenities. Clean and well maintained.
Cons: The mother was not very accomodative. She was a bit rude at times, a bit bossy. She has to understand that it is upto to the paying guest to choose whether room service is needed or not. She kind of forced me to permit room service though I felt uncomfortable to let people into my room when there was my stuff inside. Still I choose to give 10/10 for the exceptional treatment I received from the father and the daughter .

Great, friendly hotel: ideal base for exploring Rhodes Town.
Pros: We chose this property because it is close to the old part of Rhodes, the harbour, beach, shops and restaurants. All were easily accessible on foot. The street the hotel is on is quiet but close to a lively road with plenty of bars and restaurants; we had plenty of choice. The room was comfortable (great beds!) and had a kitchenette so we could self cater if we wanted. There was a nice terrace overlooking the street which was sunny in the afternoon. So, all in all, very happy with the facilities. This is a relatively small family-run hotel and we had a very friendly welcome. There were beach towels and umbrellas to borrow, which was very useful. We would recommend this hotel as an excellent base for exploring Rhodes city.
Cons: Nothing: we were very happy.

If you're thinking of a family run hotel in Rhodes, the 'Florida Hotel' is the best!
Pros: The Florida Hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of pretty much everything, beach, medieval city, buses, etc. It is located in the small, quiet streets of the old town, with plenty of beautiful restaurants on it's door step. A lovely family run hotel with really friendly and helpful people. Brilliant information folder in the room with maps, places to go, and all manner of helpful tips and ideas. The rooms are exceptionally cleaned daily. Also, beach towels, beach/water shoes, umbrellas, 'hats', etc. So there is no need to buy these things just for the holiday as they are free to use for guests!! Above all, this family run hotel is charming, friendly, helpful, and at a great price! Will definitely return! Regards, Byron Coolwater

Pros: It is the second stay for us at Florida Hotel.The hotel has a perfect location and has access at two beaches. Everything is nearby : restaurants, bars,supermarkets.. It is a quiet place with very nice staff. I recommend to everyone .

Pros: The room was perfect - exactly what I needed, a big bed, a little balcony and a small kitchen to use the fridge and have some simple breakfast. Don't expect anything fancy, but is super clean and very functional. Has AC, a fan, and the area is fantastic - full of bars and restaurants and very quiet at night. I was traveling alone and felt safe all the time.
Cons: Nothing, it was a great stay.

A quiet hotel in a perfect location for a good price
Pros: - perfect location, close to a beach, restaurants, shops, attractions, bus stops, car rentals - very quiet, no children and the hotel itself is located in an alley with no traffic - the hosts are super nice, friendly and helpful - keep in mind it's not a fancy hotel, what you get here is not luxury, but value for money - fridge in the room, microvawe in the corridor - you can temporary store your bag (before or after your stay) free of charge
