Peaceful environment and top notch accomodation

Cons: Building works opposite caused dust and noise,but that is not the fault of the property owner..

Stunning location and amazing facitity

Pros: We enjoyed everything at the villa, we felt at home because anything that we needed was there and more. Great care was taken with attention even to the smallest details to make an unforgettable experience for us. Absolutely stunning views where nature is on steroids and a gorgeous pool with complete solitude. Orange sunsets and a tiny cozy town square 2 min walk away. Renting a car is a must but worth it. There is so much to see.

Beautiful village and villa, shame about the dishonest owners

Pros: Easy to find and clear instructions to get the keys. Very well cleaned throughout. It also had a washing machine and a line to hang so I managed to do most of the washing before returning home. Bedrooms all a great size and each have a balcony. Air con in every room was a god send to escape to heat in the mountains. Great kitchen has all the utensils and pots and pans, big fridge freezer. Living room has a great lounge seat, great for movie night. The pool is lovely ! The village of Salakos is just beautiful. A 5 min walk to the village with a few restaurants, local shop. Lovely atmosphere there. You will need a car to travel and see the island. I’d advise to grab the food shopping from a large supermarket near the airport. We did manage to find what we needed but would’ve been a lot easier doing it at a large one.

Cons: There is a brand new villa being built slap bang in the direct view of the sea from this villa. We chose the villa for the clear view of the sea from the mountains as per the photos. Was disappointed to not have been told upfront and feel this was deliberately kept from the advert. We did bring this up but the owners were not understanding at all, and said they can’t stop others building. No, but they can and should tell those booking what to expect. Although it was a shame as we specifically wanted the grand view, you still get to see sunsets from the balcony, and can see the mountains. It didn’t ruin our holiday. The pool sounded quite loud to us, but also the cicada beetles up in the mountains can be quite a racket too so it’s not dead quiet up there.

The Dream Villa.

Pros: La piscina é magnifica, con anche le luci che cambiano colore di sera. Due persone sono venute a pulire il fondo della piscina in settimana. Le stanze da letto sono molto grandi e spaziose, con due terrazze. In una delle camere c'est perfino un dressing! Il lusso. Divano esterno per vedere il tramonto, cucina esterna per gli amanti della griglia. Televisione enorme. Wifi molto buono. Equipaggiamento completo e di ottima qualità.

Cons: Manca una doccia in bagno (c'est solo una grande vasca). Bisogna tenere pulito attorno alla tavola esterna perché ci sono molte formiche. La costruzione di fronte rovina un po' il paesaggio ma non é colpa del locatario!

Pros: L'essere isolati è anche un pregio per chi cerca un momento di relax, la zona barbecue e la piscina sono il top anche la sera avendo un ottima illuminazione. E' presente anche una zona relax fuori dal salone molto bella.

Cons: Veramente troppo distante da ogni servizio, almeno 1 ora anche dai principali servizi come fare la spesa o un bar accessoriato per le colazioni, questo però è anche dato dalla conformazione dell'isola che è davvero grande.
