GIANNAS HOUSE

We love this traditional Symi property so much we returned!

Pros: We were delighted to return to Gianna’s House for our second stay - it’s in the old traditional Symi style and feels authentic, full of family memorabilia, and has all one needs for a three week stay in a real home from home. Ideally placed (right by the fabulous Panormitis Bakery) its garden provides a perfect place to relax among the flowers, eat breakfast or supper, or read in the shade, or sun!

Cons: A bathroom in an outside building isn’t ideal, but it’s fine - and it’s well equipped, has good water pressure and it is the traditional way after all!

Pros: If you are all about places filled with character, memories and memorabilia from previous generations and value authenticity over luxury, this place is a go-to: Giannas house just does a great job of taking its guest back in time. The pleasant, shaded yard is ideal for meals and drinks. The bathroom, located outside in the yard, is rather vintage. it's cute in its own specific way, but might not appeal to everyone's taste. Also, it is convenientely located in the vicinity of the harbour. We did not get the chance to meet the owners, but often communicated with them via Booking. They were extremely helpful and kind throughout the whole stay.

Cons: Overall an absolutely charming place for a reasonable price.

Pros: The house is a real retro one. Everything remains as per the last century. I.e. furniture, old photos, nice back yard, toilet at the far end of the yard. Reminds me grand mother house in Lefkas island.

Ideal location for stay in Symi

Pros: We appreciated the location - central for boats, buses, tavernas etc.. The house (downstairs is the holiday apartment, upstairs lives a local family) is an old stone building with authentic decoration and well-supplied with extras for kitchen etc. (even different types of seasoning for cooking). Despite the warm weather, the house remained cool and a/c wasn't necessary. We enjoyed sitting and dining in the small garden outside the kitchen.

Cons: Finding the house was problematic as it is hidden in a courtyard off a road past a small beauty salon. Locals were also unaware of its location. Once we finally found the entrance to the house and got the key, I had to call the owner to get instructions on how to get hot water and to access the wifi (there was a problem that thankfully the owner quickly solved for us). I would recommend the owners provide clear instructions for guests on arrival. The toilet and bathroom is outside in a small garden - not suitable for everyone.

Pros: Gute,recht zentrale Lage . Ein nettes old fashioned Haus mit einem schönen Innenhof

Cons: Die Toilette und das Bad sind außerhalb der Wohnung

Romantisches Symi

Pros: Super Lage, noch mehr Atmosphäre. Für Romantiker ein echter Tip. Ich fand den den kleinen Hofgarten himmlisch und würde schon dafür wiederkommen!

Cons: Eine persönliche Einführung in manches Sonderbare der Wohnung wäre sinnvoll.nicht alles ist praktisch.

Pros: Το σπίτι βρίσκεται σε εξαιρετική τοποθεσία σο Γυαλό! Είναι αρκετά ήσυχα, με εύκολη πρόσβαση &δίπλα σε όλα όσα χρειάζεται κάποιος κατά την παραμονή του στη Σύμη! Η ιδιοκτήτρια κα Ιωάννα μας εξυπηρέτησε με τον καλύτερο τρόπο! Θα το επιλέγαμε & πάλι με χαρά για την διαμονή μας!

Pros: Super Lage, sauber, eine Reise ins vergangene Jahrhundert, ein schöner Hof zum sitzen, Eigentümer antwortet sehr schnell und ist sehr freundlich, keine Treppen bis zur Unterkunft, daher einfach zu erreichen

Cons: Das Doppelbett ist nur 1.80 m lang, die Waschmaschine hat vermutlich einen Lagerschaden und „schreit“ förmlich. Daher sollte man sie nur anstellen, wenn man nicht zuhause ist.

Symi fantastica!

Pros: Casa bellissima che ha ancora le foto e le caratteristiche di una casa d’epoca. Posizione centrale e padroni gentilissimi e molto disponibili

Cons: Il rumore della musica molto alta proveniente dal palco centrale dove fanno un festival musicale. Fino a a mezzanotte inoltrata

Pros: Posizione tranquilla e delizioso giardino interno. Casa antica con arredamento tradizionale.

Cons: Mancavano lampade vicino ai letti
