Clean, comfortable, historically quirky accommodation in a central location.
Pros: Great location set back from the old town but very central, 2 minutes walk to restaurants and cafes and close to where the ferry docks. Nice historic-looking apartment, with 2 bedrooms. A partial harbour view from a very nice patio to sit out on. Good comms with the owner. Nice beach a 10 minute walk away. Halki is a beautiful, tranquil island.
Cons: If you are of limited mobility, there are some steep steps up to the apartment (though not too many). There are also steps to each of the beds, so this could be difficult for older / disabled guests. Most unusually, it's not really a complete house but 2 completely separate bits. The kitchen area / second shower room is not directly attached to the upstairs apartment / bedrooms at all, so you have to walk outside in public and down some steep stairs, on a small public alley, to get to it. This is not really made clear in the description. This makes it a little tricky to get food, drinks etc. though it's fine when you get used to it. The downstairs area seems to be a converted former stables or similar, so though interesting and quirky, it's not a great place to sit in because there are virtually no windows and it's very dark. But the outside patio is great for this.

Let's do it again
Pros: The cosy appartement is in the heart of Chalki, in the second row behind the harbour (20sec walk). At our time only a few tourist, nice and calm with a enough restaurants all in walking distance. There is a bakery where you can get greek coffee, good bread, cakes, donuts etc. Nice welcome by Eli and Matilda handing over the keys. Matilda was around daily, if we would miss something she would have helped us. Very good contact during booking and stay also with the owner, we were well taken care of.

Pros: Υπέροχο παραδοσιακό σπίτι με πολλές παροχές και όλα τα απαραίτητα μέσα ! Σε πολύ καλή τοποθεσία αφού είναι μια ανάσα μακριά από το λιμανάκι της Χάλκης και τα γύρω μαγαζιά ! Το ζευγάρι που μας καλοσώρισε είναι πολύ ευγενικό, ευδιάθετο και ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε ήταν εκεί για να μας βοηθήσει! Το σπίτι είναι ότι πρέπει για δύο ζευγάρια ή και οικογένεια το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα !

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Danke!
Pros: Die Lage war sehr schön und zentral, die Wohnung urig und gemütlich, mit sehr interessanter, außergewöhnlicher Architektur. Tipp: Der Zugang zum Wlan könnte schriftlich fixiert werden und in der Wohnung ausliegen.

Υπέροχη φιλοξενία σε ένα πανέμορφο σπίτι στη μοναδική Χάλκη.
Pros: Υπέροχο σπίτι , στο οποίο ένιωθες από την πρώτη στιγμή σαν το σπίτι σου. Απίστευτες παροχές , πλήρως εξοπλισμένο σε εξαιρετική θέση. Όλα κοντά και παράλληλα απιστευτη ησυχία. Ο ιδιοκτήτης από την πρώτη στιγμή ευγενέστατος, άμεσος και επικοινωνιακός . Ο Έρι και η Ματιλντα που φροντίζουν το σπίτι εξαιρετικοί . Ζεστοί , δοτικοί και πάντα παρόντες σε οποιοδήποτε αίτημα. Το σπίτι εξαιρετικής αισθητικής. Αυτό που κάνει όμως τη διαφορά ήταν κυρίως η ευγένεια και η ζεστή φιλοξενία! Πολλά μπράβο ! Περάσαμε υπέροχα σε αυτό το πανέμορφο νησί και ειδικά σε αυτό το εξαιρετικό σπιτικό!
Cons: Ήταν όλα υπέροχα.

Pros: Przyjemne pokoje w starym stylu, wygodne łóżka na antresolach, miły taras wśród kwiatów, świetnie wyposażona kuchnia (pyszna kawa z ekspresu), i nie przeszkadza, że ma oddzielne wejście na dole, pralka!! i proszek do prania. Dwie łazienki, choć jedna malutka. Świetna lokalizacja - przy samym porcie, ale schowany w bocznej uliczce.
Cons: Dla pedantów - wystrój pokojów nie do końca dopracowany,.
