Savvas Apartment

We stayed there for one week at the end of August. Perfect place to start enjoying your holidays.

Pros: Very nice and clean apartment in a safe area. The small shared pool on the terrace was a great bonus.

Cons: Parking was a little bit difficult, but manageable. The kitchen has a small cooking area, which was enough for simple meals.

I’m happy to say that this property met our expectations perfectly.

Pros: The place was lovely—clean, tidy, and thoughtfully prepared with charming welcome and farewell gifts. It had everything we needed. The air conditioning, wi-fi worked perfectly, and the shower had great pressure and consistent temperature. We especially enjoyed the balcony, where we started our mornings with coffee from the small espresso machine in the kitchen. Having a rental car was convenient, though parking in the designated bays required confident driving skills. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated. It was also a great base for exploring local attractions and beautiful beaches. The host was very helpful and responsive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Cons: The only downside was the narrow parking space, which made manoeuvring a bit tricky. We also tried to use the swimming pool, but unfortunately the water was quite cold—colder than the sea, in fact. It’s a shame, as it would have been lovely to enjoy a swim in the late evening. That said, the pool wasn’t advertised as heated, so we can’t really fault anyone for that.

Great value and a good base for exploring the island

Pros: Great value for money compared to all other nearby options at the time we booked. The apartment is modern and clean, with lots of space to relax (living room, balcony and even a small swimming pool) and a kitchen with enough equipment to easily make meals for two. I loved finding a milk frother and had lots of fun perfecting my Greek frappe recipe! The shower in the bathroom is also very good, better than other more expensive places we've travelled to. We found it fairly easy and cheap to travel around by bus (Rhodes, Lindos, Kolymbia, Faliraki), though exploring from Afandou is best done by car (we could see a lot more of the coast when we rented one). There are some excellent restaurants in Afandou even though it's not a town that revolves around tourists, and the Skyline Bar was a cool discovery. The hosts very kindly left us welcome and goodbye gifts that included local food we really enjoyed - so thank you again!

Cons: While the area is generally very quiet, we ended up not sleeping much for two reasons. The main one is the bed: the mattress is okay, but we found the pillows way too small and too soft to be comfortable. The other was noise from neighbours' chicken and dogs, which perhaps heavy sleepers will get over, but it does start very early in the morning. We'd also have expected a few more essentials in the kitchen (basics like oil, salt and pepper) and bathroom (shower gel and shampoo - we'd have brought our own if we'd known in advance). We bought everything from the nearby supermarket, but ended up with leftovers we couldn't take on the flight back. Finally, while it was great to have a dedicated parking spot, the space is really narrow. The car we rented was the smallest possible, and even with that, getting out of the parking bay was challenging (we did it! But wouldn't have parked there with a larger car)

Good facilities

Pros: - the owner was very friendly with us - the apartments have also a pool that was very appreciated by the kids - a parking place is available (it would be recommended to use a small car)

Cons: - there were some small ants on the balkony that entered also in the bedroom

Cosy room with lovely host

Pros: Very well equiped (coffee capsules, Tee, washing tabs for the washing machine, iron, etc) Very kind host.

Pros: Super helpful owner, nice welcome surprise and beautiful apartment, away from the tourist traffic, but only 2 minutes from the main road. The location is absolutely ideal for travelers. 25 minutes to Lindos, 10 to Faliraki, about 35 minutes to the port of Rhodes. The ratio of price and quality of accommodation was absolutely unbeatable! The pool is beautiful, but we didn't have time to use it because we went on a trip every morning and came back after dark. Private parking places exactly under the house.

Cons: Parking is more suitable for small cars and more experienced drivers. But around you can find some place for big car too.

Ottimo Appartamento

Pros: Appartamento accogliente con camera da letto, cucina attrezzata e ampio soggiorno con divano letto. Presente lavatrice con capsule per lavaggi e saponi da bagno e cucina. Ottima la piscina privata della struttura Posizione strategica per raggiungere le spiagge più belle dell’isola

Pros: Świetna lokalizacja jeśli chcecie odpocząć od miasta, spokojna cicha sprzyjająca relaksowi. Największe ważenie zrobił na nas właściciel- przesympatyczny niezwykle pomocny i serdeczny. Dzięki jego podejściu można było się poczuć na prawdę mile widzianym, jak u dobrych znajomych. Wszystko w hotelu działało bez zarzutu, było czysto, nie napotkaliśmy żadnych problemów ani komplikacji. Cały pobyt przebiegł spokojnie i komfortowo. Z czystym sumieniem polecam każdemu, kto szuka miejsca z dobrą energią, miłą atmosferą i świetnym zapleczem do wypoczynku. Chętnie wrócimy!
